BLAST is an interval-based group fitness class that uses a variety of functional movements an interval styles to get you working hard. This 45 minute class is a super efficient and effective way to improve your overall fitness and health.
If you want to get to sweat hard and get fit in a fun and fast-paced group class format than Blast is for you. Blast is an Ironstone original – we created this class to make functional fitness accessible and challenging no matter your current experience level or fitness. We use a format call Focused Intensity Interval Training (FIIT) to attack three different aspects of your fitness. On Power days you’ll move as fast as you (safely) can with high power movements and frequent rest. This will feel like a classic HIIT workout and is meant to tax you anaerobically and push you hard. On Strength days you’ll do intervals of reps and rounds with weighted movements to build strength and muscular endurance. Your heart rate will be elevated but it will be your muscles that slow you down. Endurance days will be long, slow grinds. You’ll spend long periods under tension before your rest, moving at a steady pace throughout. This is meant to be an aerobic effort, so after some rest, you’ll do it all again. Each Interval format will be structured to help you get the most out of your 45 minute fitness experience.
