Free Community Classes at Ironstone
Community is how we build connection and make fitness accessible to all. This bootcamp style workout uses mostly bodyweight and low skill conditioning movements to build your physical and mental endurance. This class can be as hard or as easy as you make it whether you are a true beginner or an advanced athlete. Be ready to sweat with up to 40 soon-to-be friends.
Why Community Class?
Community class is part of our mission to improve the well-being of our community as a whole. We’ve offered this high-quality class absolutely free with no hooks since the day we opened. If you want to see what Ironstone is all about this is a great way to checkout the facility and our vibe without any commitment. If you just want to get in a good sweat with friends, this is also a great way to do so. Come as many times as you like, no charge.
This is not a classic CrossFit class due to the space, equipment and safety constraints of running such a big class with a wide variety of skill levels. Still, if you like your experience a staff member would be happy to talk to you about how you can try a true CrossFit class, get signed up for foundations or get more information.
What will a class be like?
Community uses mostly low skill bodyweight and conditioning exercises but we also introduce some external objects on occasion. Some example movements may include push ups, pull ups, burpees, air squats, lunges, box jumps, rowing, running, kettlebell swings, wall balls, sit-ups, dumbbell presses and more. These will be arranged in as many patterns and combinations as we can dream up! Expect to work for 25-35 minutes of continuous or interval style work; on occasion with a partner or in teams. The harder you push yourself the more work you will do and if you want to be sore tomorrow you will be. We will warm you up before class and cool you down afterwards, just be ready to work!
Community class is often full-up with as many as 54 people. Please arrive on time and sign-up online in advance. If you have never been to ironstone before please come at least 10 minutes early to sign a waiver and get oriented.
